Why Rick?
Have you ever sat at home and thought you could do a better job than most Washington Politicians? Most of us have. Why me? Simple. I am you. I know what you need because I need it too. I'm not a doctor, a lawyer or wealthy. Just a working guy with a full time job, a wife of 19 years and 2 great kids.

 I have one simple goal. I want the voice of the people to be heard. Our voices have been ignored by politicians for too long. I believe in transparency!! Since Washington will not force transparency for our elected officials, I will for myself. All funds raised and spent will be listed and accounted for. Even if it's just a penny.

          Smaller Government - What good are more programs when we can't pay for them?
          Balanced Budget        - How can we fix it if we can't pay for it?
          Marriage                       - Marriage is a religious institution that should not be regulated by the government.
          Jobs                              - We need our industry back. China doesn't feed my family.
          Bailout                          - AGAINST IT!!  Where is the money now?
          Life                                - Life Starts at Conception.
          Religion                       - Christian, Lutheran
          Military                         - I support our troops 110%. Their selfless sacrifice keeps us safe.
          Economy                     - Remember Made in the USA? Just a guess...start buying American
                                                   and jobs will come back which =  economic growth
          Immigration                - Simple, send them back!! Do you think illegals should be able to pay a fine and stay?
                                                   Bob Inglis does. His proposal would create a revolving door of illegals that would take 
                                                   our jobs legally. ask me about it. Better yet, call Bob. Ask him.
         Term Limits           - Unlike Congressman Inglis, I will not pledge term limits and
                                         keep on going like I never said it. I have a contract that is
                                         available on this website. It specifies that I can be sued
                                         for ALL monies earned while in office should I attempt
                                         to seek a third term as your Congressman. 2 terms, period!

A little about me
 
Kimberly and I have been married for 19 years and have 2 great kids Richard & Brittany. I moved out of Mom's house when I was seventeen and knew it all. My son Richard was born 5 days before my 19th birthday and my daughter Brittany came along just shy of 2 years later. ( the two of them have been an absolute blessing.) I have worked hard to support my family. Much of the time having three jobs at once to make ends meet. The handouts didn't come to me. I repayed my student loans even though I could not afford to. I am convinced that we need regular people in Congress. I do not believe in class warfare. What I do believe is that we need to be represented by people just like us. So many of our representatives tell us about how the financial fallout effects Main Street. Do they even know where that is? I do. I am not a lawyer. I am not a doctor. I am a just a guy that has a great wife, two great kids, started a family very young, struggled to get a piece of the American dream and is watching as the politicians take it away while "spreading the wealth". I am tired of watching. It is time to act. I do not want a piece of someone elses wealth. Lets create our own "wealth".
